12 Places In Singapore That Appeared In Crazy Rich Asians

Think you had enough of Crazy Rich Asians? Think again.

Though some may think Crazy Rich Asians is overrated, how could we? Singapore made it to Hollywood! Thanks Kevin Kwan~ 

Also, it's the first ever Hollywood movie with an all-Asians cast and it features Singapore and some very iconic landmarks that's made Singapore what it is today.

Here's 12 places in Singapore that appeared in the movie! *Spoilers ahead!*

#1 Changi Airport

Duh. Of course they have to include our world-class airport. Main characters Nick Young (Henry Golding) and Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) flew first class via United Airlines and arrived in Singapore's Changi Airport in style.

In case you haven't watched the movie, Nick brought Rachel made this trip to Singapore to attend his best friend Colin's wedding. Upon arrival at Terminal 3, Colin and his fiancee Araminta Lee welcomed them with open arms~ Sweet reunion!

#2 Newton Food Centre

There's no better way to introduce Singapore to Rachel and everyone clearly knew this. Even though they are all high-SES elites, they had no problems eating satay, sambal stingray and drinking fresh coconut/sugarcane at Newton Food Centre. This is what we love! Let's hope it applies to Singaporeans in real life.

#3 MBS Skypark

After Nick Young was spotted with Rachel Chu by a Singapore radio DJ, news were spread to all the elites in Singapore with many of them who happened to be in various iconic landmarks of our Lion City. The MBS Skypark is one of them.

#4 Merlion Park @ One Fullerton

Similar to what was mentioned in #3, our iconic Merlion Park also appeared in the movie; setting the scene in Singapore.

#5 Sentosa

Of course a movie about Singapore wouldn't be complete without Sentosa.

#6 Bukit Pasoh

The memorable"pok pok" scene between Rachel and her Singaporean college best friend Peik Lin (Awkwafina) took place in a bar along Bukit Pasoh, a place where it overlooks a row of Peranakan houses.

#7 The Reading Room

Our smart eye also identified The Reading Room, a book cafe that transforms into a bar at night

#8 Anderson Bridge

This is one scene that's hard to swallow. Here, Astrid (Gemma Chan) finally confronted her husband Michael (Pierre Png!) about his affair while they were on the way to Collin's wedding but things backfired and Michael stomped out of the car.

#9 CHIJMES

Crazy Rich Asians indeed. This has got to be one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies we've ever seen and we didn't even expect it!

Who knew that CHJIMES could be transformed this way?

Check out this scene when Carmen Soo (Francesca) and Constance Yau (Celine from Radio 1) arrived at CHIJMES for the grand wedding.

#10 Gardens By The Bay

Who knew that we were allowed to hold a wedding dinner by the Supertree Grove @ Gardens By The Bay?

We can't even imagine how much the location rental would have even cost..... but hey, it looks amazing and we'd die to just be invited to a dinner party here.

It's also this scene where Nick's mother, Eleanor, exposed Rachel's 'ugly family truths' to her in front of Nick and his grandmother; causing Rachel grief and anger.

#11 Asian Civilisation Museum

After the eventful night (read #10), Nick met up with Rachel and eventually bent the knee to propose to her. Though she rejected him here, she eventually accepted him at the end of the movie! *pops confetti*

#12 Marina Bay Sands

After Rachel finally accepted Nick's proposal just before she left for New York, they went for their grand engagement party @ Marina Bay Sands and basically had a celebration so grand we almost thought it was New Year's eve.
