Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

Fast fashion is hard to resist, but if you're ever in the mood to refresh your wardrobe with unique pieces that are also kind to the environment, vintage shopping is the way to go. Singapore has no shortage of vintage fashion stores, but we have yet another new one to peruse - Vintagewknd.

A sister brand of the now closed SUPERWASTED, Vintagewknd at Haji Lane is a charming treasure trove of quirky clothes and accessories reworked from scraps, used items and vintage pieces. Its exterior is pretty in pink with toy block-style signage and colourful waiting chairs completing the whimsical look.

The store interior is just as much of a visual treat. Think mismatched furniture, quirky clothes and accessories aplenty, walls decorated with scrap fabric tassels, and a curious-looking mirror made with shoulder pads.

Amidst the colourful chaos, we spotted lovely pieces including a Y2k-style corset top ($75/$73/$70), reworked from a Ralph Lauren Polo, and adorable denim overalls ($60/$58/$55) embroidered with Disney characters.

Vintagewkd has a 3-tier pricing system where the more pieces you buy, the less each costs.

If you're into the cottagecore aesthetic, head to the racks displaying Vintagewkd's in-house label Cottagecloth (from $55). These romantic, summery pieces are made of a linen-look fabric covered in intricate floral embroidery.

Another shelf houses statement-making bags including colourful basket bags ($45) and printed clutch bags ($139).

There's also a DIY Flower Bar ($15 - $20 per piece) where you can design and make your own bouquet of "flowers". After picking your choice of fabric flowers, hand them over to the cashier who will provide complimentary wrapping paper and ribbons for you to assemble them into a bouquet.
