Cult-Favourite Shoe Brand DUOZOULU Opens 2 Stores In Singapore Offering Comfortable Shoes From $39

DUOZOULU (meaning 'walk more' in Chinese) might not ring any bells to Singaporeans, but it's a pretty big deal in China. This cult-favourite shoe brand prioritises comfort without sacrificing style, and their sneakers, slip-ons and sandals are a hit among everyone from children and Gen Z-ers to the elderly.

And good news for those in the market for a pair of comfy shoes on a budget - the label has just arrived at our shores, opening two outlets located at NEX and Jurong Point offering shoes from $39.

Made with Micron eco-friendly fabric and 3D seamless programming technology, DUOZOULU shoes are known to be lightweight, elastic and durable.

Their bestsellers are the Cloud Sneaker ($69) and Lazy Sawtooth Slip On Shoes ($59) which were both incredibly weightless yet snug on the feet, making it a breeze to propel each step forward. They are also made with a soft and breathable material which seems ideal for our current weather.

Style wise, these shoes looked a tad matronly for my taste, but like any other trendy, so-called ugly shoe (i.e. Crocs & Birkenstock sandals), there's a way to make them look cute anyway. They would pair well with anything from feminine to edgy pieces and give them a charming, down-to-earth look.

I also tried on the Thick Platform Sneaker ($79), a more fashion-forward shoe that'll help you get that Y2K aesthetic and a boost in height. The chunky foam-like sole was surprisingly lightweight and elastic.

A practical shoe that even your grandparents would approve of is the Ease Walking Shoes ($69). Possibly the most comfortable of the lot, this shoe was as light as a feather and a joy to walk in. It's also a convenient slip-on shoe masquerading as a sneaker thanks to the clever incorporation of shoe lace-esque details.

The only shoe that didn't make a good first impression was the Grain Sandals ($39), which felt too stiff and plastic-y.
