But French luxury beauty brand Lancôme believes that every lady can be her own idol - all it takes is a bit of empowerment and courage. Such is the inspiration for their Idôle range, which now includes a brand new olfactory addition - the Lancôme Idôle Eau De Parfum that was recently launched in Singapore.

Endorsed by Hollywood star Zendaya - who says that her idol is her future self - the Lancôme Idôle Eau De Parfum is a floral fragrance with notes of rose and vanilla. Though distinctly feminine, it’s not exactly on the delicate side; What it is is bold with a touch of sensuality, likely thanks to its base of white musk. This is complemented with jasmine and bergamot.
We gave the new Lancôme Idôle EDP a try and found it to be powerful yet comforting at the same time, with a pleasant floral aroma that wasn’t overly sweet. However, we’d suggest going easy on the spritzes as it has the potential to get a little heady for those with more sensitive noses.
It’s not one of those fragrances that trails off into a wisp of nothingness after a few hours either - we could still detect its unmistakable scent at the end of a long day of activity. A little clearly goes a long way!

This lovely champagne pink perfume is housed in a transparent bottle, with a shiny gold cap and gold side panels to match - the epitome of classy minimalism.
Another thing we love about the bottle is how slim it is, although you can’t quite tell just from photos of its front view. In fact, our 50ml bottle isn’t much thicker than a smartphone - which makes it ideal for toting along for touch-ups on long days out, or even staycations and getaways.
There’s also a 25ml version in a small square bottle, and a larger 100ml version that can be conveniently slotted amidst the other items on your vanity without causing clutter.
