Rare Beauty By Selena Gomez Has New Silky Highlighters, Under-Eye Brighteners & Soft MLBB Lip Souffle Shades
Expensive beauty treatments and private physical training aside, your best bet to looking as glamorous as a Hollywood A-lister would probably be to use the same skincare and makeup products they are using - and what better way to channel your inner celebrity than with beauty lines specially created by the stars themselves?
If you haven’t already heard, pop star and actress Selena Gomez has joined the likes of Rihanna and Kylie Jenner to launch her own brand, Rare Beauty - and she’s recently added on to her pastel pink-packaged range with a new Spring Collection for 2023.

Excuse the pun, but we must say that the highlight of the new Rare Beauty collection for Spring 2023 has to be the Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter ($42). The unique formulation boasts a glassy liquid-like glow, but with the convenience and silky texture of a powder. Talc-free and water resistant, the highlighter is said to provide a seamless and natural-looking veil of shimmer that won’t settle into fine lines or make them more obvious.
Get this in 4 gorgeous shades - Enlighten (cool champagne), Exhilarate (champagne gold), Flaunt (rose bronze), and Mesmerize (true gold).
While you’re at it, you might want to get yourself the Rare Beauty Positive Light Precision Highlighter Brush ($32), which Selena herself says is fluffy enough for smooth blending, but slim enough for proper control.

Next up is the Rare Beauty Positive Light Under Eye Brightener ($41) - essentially an under-eye concealer that’ll help brighten dark circles and make your peepers look more awake even if you’re running on a less-than-ideal amount of sleep. It can also be layered over your favourite concealer for additional coverage.

This isn’t just a base makeup product, for it’s also enriched with hydrating skincare ingredients including White Peony and Vitamin E to help revitalise tired skin around the eye area. Application is made even more refreshing with the cooling metal tip. On top of that, we also love how it comes in a range of 6 inclusive shades, from Light to Deep.

MLBB (My Lips But Better) shades will never go out of style. While the Rare Beauty Lip Souffle Matte Lip Cream ($33) has been around for a while now, Selena felt that a couple of neutrals were missing, and thus, she came up with 3 new hues: Confident (rose mauve), Elevate (light warm beige), and Kindness (nude pink). These additions put the current range of shades at 15, and we can only expect it to expand in time to come!
With an airy, whipped texture, this souffle-like lip cream will give your pucker a soft and blurry finish.
The Rare Beauty Spring 2023 Collection can be purchased in Singapore at Sephora’s physical boutiques as well as via their online store.
