Kireina Genting Villa & Cafe Is A New Japanese-Style Resort With Studio Ghibli Vibes & Private Jacuzzis
Tucked away in the mountains of Genting Highlands is a hidden gem - Kireina Genting Villa & Cafe. Located about an hour's drive from the theme parks and 30 minutes from the premium outlets, this new resort is getting quite a bit of hype on Instagram for its calming Muji-style aesthetic.
One might forget they're in Malaysia the moment they're at the quaint entrance of Kireina Villa, as its design and surrounding nature combined radiates comforting Japanese countryside vibes.

These vibes only build after stepping inside the villa as it's a relaxing and picturesque nature paradise that looks right out of a Studio Ghibli film. Fittingly, there are Totoro statues placed throughout the villa looking right at home.
The grass, trees and gravel are lined with boardwalks and glowing lanterns leading to the private guest rooms.

There are two room types. For couples or friends in pairs, there's the Kireina Suite which has a double bed that sleeps two. Those in a bigger group can stay at the Kireina Villa which accommodates four guests with two double beds. The rooms look every bit as aesthetically pleasing and Muji-esque as expected, with warm woods, minimalist furnishings and shoji-style windows.

And here's the best part: every room comes with a private patio and jacuzzi. Imagine living it up, soaking in the hot tub with fresh mountain air and a view of the forest!
