Potterheads, you're in for a treat! The fifth instalment of the Harry Potter film concert series, Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix in concert, will be in Singapore for the first time next February.

Harry Potter in Concert at Esplanade Theatre

On 17 and 18 February 2023, the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra will perform Nicholas Hooper's score from the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film at Esplanade Theatre. And while magical score plays, the entire film will be screened on a high-definition 40-foot screen in the background.

Audiences will have a whole new movie experience, seeing Voldemort's return, Harry's secret training lessons to prepare students for the wizarding war, and more - all accompanied with bombastic live music by a full orchestra.

Nominated for a World Soundtrack Discovery Award, composer Nicholas Hooper uses experimental techniques and unique instruments to compose two new main themes for Dolores Umbridge and Voldemort's inflection into Harry's psyche. Japanese Taiko drums are introduced to create a deeper and more nefarious undercurrent to emphasise the film's darker storyline.

The concert will run on two days: 17 (Friday) and 18 (Saturday) February 2023 at 7.30pm.

It will last 2 hours and 50 minutes with a 20-minute intermission.
