Bon Parfumeur’s owner’s interest in perfume first started with his small personal collection as a teen, which grew from names Guerlain and Carven to smaller, lesser-known houses. He loved wearing different scents based on his mood or even the weather, and eventually set out to start his own brand, where his team of perfumers are allowed to freely experiment with different blends to create new scents.

These fragrances are entirely made in France from start to finish with the utmost care and best selection of ingredients. Instead of relying on synthetics, the brand prides itself on using up to 97% natural ingredients, all extensively screened to ensure they meet top standards for safety. Should there not be any natural options available for a particular key ingredient, safe synthetic alternatives are used in place.

Bon Parfumeur’s perfumes are free of formaldehydes, palm oil, EDTA and other nasties, and also do not contain artificial colouring or UV filters - which is why the perfume in your bottle might look different over time, just like how fine wine ages naturally.

Currently, there are 28 eau de parfums by Bon Parfumeur available,  all divided into 10 olfactory categories which are conveniently colour-coded - reminiscent of the famous Pantone colour chart. This makes it heaps easier for perfume enthusiasts to select something according to their preferences or the occasion at hand.

Floral perfumes are coded pink, while Colognes are sea green, and Aquatiques are blue. Aromatiques are brown, and Fruité scents are labelled yellow. The Special range has more masculine scents, which are fittingly coded in black, and there’s even a Gourmand range which includes perfume 501 with notes of praline, licorice, and patchouli.

While certain fragrance notes might lean towards the more masculine or feminine side, all Bon Parfumeur scents are meant to be unisex, and can be worn alone or mixed with the scents from any other olfactory profile. If you want to have fun with blending different perfumes and aren't sure where to start, you can always look to their Mix & Match collections which have been specially curated as sets.

You can also try out the Discovery Sets with Minishots in tiny vials if you’d like to sample a little bit of everything.

The clear glass bottles don’t just have that clean, aesthetically-pleasing look - being 100% recyclable, they’re also eco-friendly, and are designed to be refillable. The outer box packaging is made from recycled pulp, and all paper materials used are from sustainably-managed forests.
