Talk about a hidden gem—crystal shop Sparkle Please is well tucked away on the fifth floor of industrial building Oxley Bizhub. But for those in the know, it’s a haven for crystal lovers, complete with a wide selection of healing crystals from towers to tumbled stones.

Although it’s been a mere two years since their inception, the store has garnered more than 10.5k followers on Instagram. Aside from the physical shop, they also do live sales on social media on a weekly basis and purvey crystal items on their online retail site.

Decked with pink, blue, and white neon signs, the shop is a wonderland of crystal products. We recently dropped by for their newly launched crystal bracelet making workshop, priced per pax at $58 on weekdays and $68 on weekends.

Held in a cosy workshop space, the class had us spoilt for choice with a whole rainbow spectrum of crystal beads. The instructor first measured the circumference of our wrists to decide how long our bracelets ought to be, before guiding us through the process.

With unlimited use of crystal beads, spacer beads, and bead caps, it was no easy feat deciding what would go into our bracelet. But here’s our suggestion—pick a colour scheme, whether it’s pastels or warm tones, before choosing your beads.

We completed our bracelets by adding a sparkly charm from a variety of designs including unicorn, teddy bear, heart locket, and more. After threading the beads through and tying up the loose ends, we were given a quick run-down of what our chosen crystals symbolised, from wealth and prosperity to love and compassion. My bracelet had all my favourite crystals, including rose quartz, crackled quartz, blue apatite, kunzite, and aquamarine.

Each completed bracelet came with a Sparkle Please pouch and jewellery cleaning cloth, allowing us to keep our creation shiny for years to come. We think this workshop would make the perfect hens’ night activity or fun night out with your bestie, especially if they’re into crystals!

Those who fancy purchasing off-the-shelf crystal bracelet designs will find plenty in the shop, from elaborate designs to single crystal-themed ones. Eyeing some home decor for your nooks and crannies? You can purchase crystal chips according to weight and have them placed in either a little sachet or a glass bottle.

There’s also a selection of adorable crystal bears topped with gold crowns, displayed on a mini carousel. These come in crystals such as carnelian, citrine, tiger eye, amethyst, and more. While you’re here, don’t forget to check out the crystal gachapon machine, which costs $10 for three plays. If you’re lucky, you might just cinch yourself some premium crystals.
