ALLIE x Peanuts: Limited Edition Snoopy-Themed Range From Highly-Raved Japanese Sunscreen Brand In SG

To motivate you to keep up that extra but necessary step in your daily skincare routine, highly-raved Japanese sunscreen brand ALLIE has come up with a new limited edition Snoopy range, featuring the adorable characters of Peanuts.

For those who grew up with those classic Peanuts comics, you’d know that they often highlight the importance of caring for ourselves, those around us, and our planet. In line with this, ALLIE has taken on an eco-friendly slant for this limited edition collection, with packaging created using recycled paper from unwanted promotional scraps - both from themselves and other brands - sourced from various brick-and-mortar stores.

On top of that, a portion of the sales profits from this sunblock collection will be channelled towards environmental organisations.
There’s also a fun DIY bit that you can enjoy with the sunscreen packaging, but first, here’s a bit more about the products in this Snoopy-themed range.

First up is the ALLIE x Peanuts Chrono Beauty Gel UV EX ($29.90) - a lightweight gel sunblock that’s free of colouring and fragrances, and gives a moisturised finish. This is a great option for those who often gripe about sunscreens leaving white casts on their skin.

Have blemishes or an uneven skin tone? Try the ALLIE x Peanuts Chorono Beauty Tone Up UV 01 ($25.90), which has a greenish tint to help brighten up any dullness. This is infused with a jasmine and white peach scent, meant to boost your mood before you head out each morning.

Both sunscreens are resistant to sweat, water, and friction, yet are made to be beach-friendly - which means they adhere to the environmental regulations set by certain countries and their beaches, such that they’re less harmful to marine life. At the same time, they're non-sticky and contain moisturising beauty essence so your skin can stay hydrated while you’re out and about.
Each sunscreen type has a different Snoopy image on the tube, with 3 different packaging designs to choose from, so in total, there are 6 different packaging options for Peanuts fans to collect.

In line with the whole sustainability theme, the cardboard packaging can be repurposed into a bookmark (from the side of the box) and an ornament (from an inner partition flap within the box). The character ornament can be used as a bookmark as well, or stuck on a notebook, or perhaps even hung on your bag with a string. We’d like to think of these as free gifts, in a sense!
