Singaporeans know Australia as the land of beautiful beaches, festivals and trendy brunch cafes, but all that is almost overshadowed by a cafe that's an Instagrammer's dream come true - The Grounds At Alexandria.
Located in Sydney, this all-in-one café, bar, restaurant and garden has a rustic back-to-nature charm and is thought to be one of the most picture-perfect places in Australia. To spice things up, The Grounds periodically gives their space a themed makeover that brings its aesthetic up a notch further. After a stunning Beauty and the Beast-themed run, the cafe is now transformed into a wonderland (pun intended) inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
Alice In Wonderland-Themed Decor
Diners will feel like Alice herself - post-Drink Me potion - as they step through the giant keyhole and stroll through the a topsy-turvy world inspired by the works of Lewis Carroll.

The nature-filled walkway is decorated with recognisable themed touches like chess pieces, mushrooms and The White Rabbit.

There's also a spectacular tower made of giant books and other curiosities inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Complementing the decor and theatrics is a limited-time menu.
Cherry Mousse Pastry
This Instagrammable pastry is layered with vanilla custard, almond dacquoise and garnished with an almond macaron.

The Almond Sponge
The mini almond sponge cake has layers of apple custard and caramelised apple, topped with honey buttercream and garnished with pressed dried flowers.

Pink Pavlova
This beautiful rose water meringue is adorned with mascarpone, jasmine and pistachio cream, mango confit, fresh mango, raspberries and Turkish delight jelly.

Mad Hatter's High Tea

It would be such a missed opportunity to have an Alice in Wonderland-themed dining experience and not include a "Mad Tea Party." Happily, The Grounds grabbed the chance and will soon launch a Mad Hatter's High Tea.
Diners will be pampered with their own personal waiter while they enjoy tea in a gorgeous space with exposed brick walls covered in crawling vines and green plants.
This Wonderland experience launched in June 2022 and will have a limited time run. The Grounds has yet to confirm its last day, but will make an announcement before its last 4 weeks.
