When Stranger Things made its debut, it had all the makings of pop culture canon, from the neon-lit ‘80s aesthetic to the upbeat soundtrack. To top it all off, eerie plotlines reminiscent of Goosebump books and everything we loved about our childhood. Fans of the Netflix series and beauty lovers alike will be pleased to know that they’ve joined forces with MAC Cosmetics to launch a makeup collection inspired by the dual universes presented in the show.

Choose between the nostalgia of the human world and the mysterious Upside Down, through vibrant eyeshadow palettes, lip glosses, blushes, and brushes. The former includes the Hawkins Class of 1986 Eye Palette, which takes its cues from the fictional high school’s colours like beige and green.

On the flipside, the Void Eye Palette is inspired by the deep and shimmery tones of the Upside Down. For kiss-worthy lips, the Lipglass comes in both bright and dark shades such as fuchsia “Wild Wheeler,” light coral “Excellent Erica,” vivid red “Rockin’ Robin”, and black “Skull Rock.” Add a pop of colour to your cheeks with the Powder Blush in the vintage red “He Likes It Cold” and the pink “Friends Don’t Lie.”

Fatima Thomas, MAC’s senior artist said: “Coming of age in a small town in the ’80s, I completely relate to the vibe and characters of Stranger Things. This collaboration perfectly captures the essence of the era: spirited, adventurous and fun.”

Priced from US$20 to $45, the Stranger Things x MAC collection will be available from May 15, ahead of the show’s Season 4 premiere on May 27.

MAC Cosmetics has previously partnered with Netflix to launch collections inspired by hit releases like  “The Queen’s Gambit” and “Emily in Paris.”
