Some of you are taking this opportunity to go on short weekend trips (check out this gorgeous vintage train from Singapore to Bangkok!), but as for the rest of us, here are 18 new things to do in May 2022 in Singapore for a well-deserved break.

Kick it back old school with a classic drive-in movie night at Pasir Ris, where you’ll be catching Marvel hit Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings under the stars - happening for one night only.

Admission is an affordable $25 per car, which works out to just $6.25 per person if you come in a group of 4, which is the maximum number of persons allowed. On that note, it is recommended to come in a group of up to 3 persons for the best unblocked viewing experience. While that would result in fewer people to divide the cost with, it’ll set you back just slightly over $8 per person, which is still very reasonable.

Two free burgers from Ministry Of Burgers, along with two free drinks will be included. Additional burger + drink sets can be purchased at $7 each, and you can also top up a little for extra snacks like cotton candy and popcorn.

#18: Have a romantic couple shoot at themed studio, Pitega Spaces

Pitega Spaces Singapore themed photo studioPhoto from Pitega Spaces

Away from erratic weather and photobombs is Pitega Spaces, a relatively new themed photography studio. While it’s available for rent for all sorts of purposes, including corporate shoots, we think it’s especially perfect for dreamy styled couple photoshoots.

Pitega Spaces Singapore themed photo studioPhoto from Pitega Spaces

On top of romantic floral, magic forest, and boho chic zones, there’s also a photogenic pantry corner with cosy vibes. The fact that it’s already pre-decorated so extensively means you’ll save a couple hundred bucks or even a 4-digit sum of money, as you won’t have to hire an external styling vendor to get photos on fleek.

What’s more, prices are affordable and your hours can be split over multiple dates, so nothing has to go to waste even if you’ve overestimated the time required for your shoot.
