NGAOS was first born in Vietnam in 2015, helmed by a group of passionate young fashion designers. In 2021, they made a breakthrough and expanded to the UK, and also ship internationally to cater to customers in other regions. In fact, one of their warehouses happens to be located in Singapore.
They’ve since gained tons of positive reviews from happy customers all around the world.

The story behind the name? “Ngao” is actually an onomatopoeic word for a cat’s meow in Vietnamese. This animal is something that the brand owners are very much inspired by for the qualities it embodies - independence and an “I do what I want” attitude. This is also a play on “ngaos”, a typo of the word “ngáo”, which means carefree innocence.
These are all values that the creators hold close to heart, while celebrating femininity and everyone’s individual uniqueness.

Being kind to the environment is also one of their priorities, so their bags are all made using environmentally-friendly vegan leather, handcrafted by bag makers who are treated fairly. According to NGAOS, no animals and rivers are harmed in their manufacturing process, so you can feel assured knowing that your arm candy didn’t cost the earth.

One of NGAOS’ best-selling bag styles is The Book Handbag - Jimmi’s Battle ($97), which tells a whole story of magic and courage in its glittery 3D embroidered design, featuring original character Jimmi Robot riding a dragon across a fire dungeon to fight a demon and reclaim everything that belongs to his heart.

Also popular is the Artbook Handbag - Jimmi’s Secret ($143) which has a similar rectangular silhouette but is longer and slightly roomier. This, too, has intricate embroidery centred around Jimmi Robot, continuing the aforementioned story. After the great battle, he ventures into the woods in search of a magical healing flower, and the deeper he goes, the more enthralling the nature around him feels, and this becomes his little secret.
The handbags are available in various colourways including Rosewood, Nude Pink, Fuschia Pink, Black, and White. Generally, their colour palette often involves sweet, feminine shades.
