New Starbucks Singapore Outlet Now Open In Town With Calming Teal & Sea Green Mermaid-Themed Interiors

If you’ve walked past Raffles City Shopping Centre recently, you’d have noticed some rather prominent hoardings near the entrance. Alas - it’s the demise of the Starbucks outlet that’s been there for as long as many of us can remember. But don’t despair just yet, because the coffee chain has opened yet another outlet within the same complex that’s even more beautiful than the previous.

The old Starbucks outlet at Raffles City had a semi-open concept, with a good number of seats outdoors - which didn’t often bode well on hot afternoons. Still, because of its convenient location, it was a hotspot for chill catch-ups and business-related meetings alike, and was often buzzing at any time of the day.

Version 2.0 of Raffles City’s Starbucks is now on the second floor within the mall itself, which means it’s fully air-conditioned. Shedding its old-timey brown wood decor, it’s now clad in calming shades of teal and sea green.

Complementing this fresh colour scheme are mermaid-themed motifs across the wall, including a siren mural done up in an “oil painting” style.

Some of the pillars are clad with mermaid scale patterns, and there are also wall tiles that come with a bit of an ethereal sheen.

Seats-wise, you can expect sea green chairs with cushioning and good back support. It appears that there are no bar stools this time, unlike with the pre-glow up version.
