Think of the new Smeg Mini Kettle as a baby version of their hot-selling 50’s-style one. While the latter can hold up to 1.7L, this cute petite version has a capacity of 0.8L. This helps reduce energy consumption for those who don’t require large quantities of water to be boiled at any given time.

On top of that, it has double walls, the inner of which is made of stainless steel. This allows it to keep water warm, while remaining cool to the touch so you don’t burn your fingers. Safety definitely comes first - and that’s why it’s able to switch off automatically at boiling point,, as well as if there’s insufficient water within, or if the body somehow gets detached from the base by accident.
