Read on to find out more about the new Snoopy-themed teahouse and chocolate shop in Oita, Japan!
Located in Yufuin, Oita prefecture, Snoopy Cha-ya is a Japanese teahouse that features a minimalist interior with wooden furniture. Decorating the walls are well-known Peanuts characters such as Charlie Brown, Sally Brown, Lucy and our beloved beagle.
On its menu are Peanuts-inspired dishes such as the Snoopy Bungo Chicken Toriten Plate (~S$12.70) that's made with locally sourced ingredients such as chicken from the Bungo province. The dish also features edible cut-outs of Snoopy and his best friend Woodstock.
For those with a sweet tooth, the teahouse also offers a plethora of desserts that look almost too adorable to eat! Check out this Soufflé pancake (~S$12.70) topped with a Snoopy manju with matcha ice-cream and brown sugar syrup served on the side.
The teahouse also has a merch store that sells everything you need to pledge allegiance to the Peanuts gang. Since Yufuin is known for its hot springs, the Yukemuri Onsen Series includes a tote bag, towel, tumbler, pouch, and more.
That's not all! Located right next door is a new Snoopy Chocolat branch that sells Snoopy-themed snacks. Exclusive to this outpost are pistachio-flavoured chocolate desserts which include the Roll Stick Chocolat (S$12.70), and Crunch Chocolat (S$12.80).
