Whimsical Circus-Themed Makeup: Jewel Compact Blusher, Dessert-Inspired Lipstick, Spell Book Palette & More
C-beauty brand Flower Knows, helmed by famed cosplay couple Baozi and Hana, has done it again. As if their previous Love Bear makeup collection wasn’t tempting enough, here comes a whimsical new one with a Circus theme.
Read on to find out more about the Flower Knows Circus makeup in Singapore!
#1: Flower Knows Circus Eyeshadow Palette ($41, U.P. $58)
At first glance, the Flower Knows Circus Eyeshadow Palette ($41, U.P. $58) might be mistaken for a cupboard leading to a magical realm a la Narnia, especially with the elaborate print featuring a circus elephant, a pony, a pair of dapper-looking rabbits, and teddy bears all lined up in a row. Turns out, it’s actually modelled after a grimoire. While retaining that magical quality, these are devoid of the darkness oft-associated with such spell books - and the shades within follow suit as well.
Palette 01 Gorgeous Adventure has warm peachy tones, with a mix of 12 mattes and glitters that allow you to create a wide variety of looks. Palette 02 Incredible Kingdoms is on the pinkish side to match its packaging, with a particular rosy shade for creating bold accents.
#2: Flower Knows Circus Gradient Blush ($31, U.P. $44)
Housed in an exquisite jewel compact case with a coloured heart gem, the Flower Knows Circus Gradient Blush ($31, U.P. $44) might bring to mind Sailor Moon’s magical brooches and compacts. Looks closely and you’ll see shimmery gold stars incorporated into the iridescent casing!
There are 6 shades of this buildable powder blush to suit different skin tones, and all of them are actually two-toned for greater versatility. Use the 2 shades separately - even as eyeshadow, should you wish - or swirl them together using a fluffy blusher brush to mix them up.
#3: Flower Knows Circus Matte/Satin Lipstick ($26, U.P. $37)
You’re gonna be spoiled for choice with the Flower Knows Circus Matte/Satin Lipstick ($26, U.P. $37), for there are a whopping 12 shades in total - 6 matte, and 6 satin. The former provides long-lasting pigment while the latter has a creamy, glossy finish, but across the board, the shades are all natural-looking and have solid colour payoff.
Fun fact: All the shade names are inspired by desserts and drinks! Sme of these yummy-sounding picks include M02 Cream Tart, C02 Baked Brulee, and C06 Oolong Latte.
This is in addition to the super cute pastel packaging, where each lipstick casing is decorated with vintage-style illustrations of cute animals in circus outfits. The cap is in a luxe champagne gold shade, adorned with a metallic heart.
#4: Flower Knows Circus Lip Mud ($32.69, U.P. $59.39)
If liquid lipstick is more up your alley, there’s also the Flower Knows Circus Lip Mud ($32.69, U.P. $59.39), which has a matte finish. Don’t let the name of the product put you off - it’s been coined as such because, like mud, it’s supposed to be “easy to spread and blend”, and isn’t drying on the lips. The individual shade names themselves are pretty attractive, with most of them inspired by food.
#5: Flower Knows Circus Pore Blurring Powder ($48, U.P. $69)
Don’t let the humidity get you down. The Flower Knows Circus Pore Blurring Powder ($48, U.P. $69) is a lightweight, mattifying, finishing powder that comes in lovely carousel-shaped tin boxes. Shade 01 Transparent comes in the pink box, while shade 02 Beige comes in the red one.
The Flower Knows Circus makeup collection is available for purchase in Singapore via the brand’s official Shopee Mall store, while stocks last. Shipping is free.
