Jackie Chan's Daughter Marries Angmoh Girlfriend Despite 12 Years Age Gap!
The two have a 12 years age gap but they obviously don't care.
On 26 November, Jackie Chan's estranged 19-year-old daughter, Etta Ng, announced her marriage to 31-years-old Canadian influencer Andi Autumn in an Instagram post.
Nicknamed Little Dragon Girl (小龍女) by Chinese netizens, Etta Ng put up a photo of the two holding a marriage certificate dated 8 Nov. According to various media reports, it is said that the two moved to Canada and registered their marriage after they started dating in 2017.
Etta first publicised her relationship with Andi on Valentine's Day last year. In an Instagram (yes, again) post, Etta wrote:
After all these years of negativity, living in shame and being afraid of the world I've come to the conclusion that it's easier to accept that I am never meant to love or be loved.
Especially as a lesbian in a culturally sensitive society I would be doing my family a favour staying hidden, silent, sit and behave like I've been instructed all my life but then you came along and proved me wrong. (You showed me how) I deserved to be happy, love and be loved.
You accepted every single part of me. The good, the bad and the crazy [laughing emoji] You opened my heart and mind to all the good in this world, (and) kissed every scar I have. 2017 has been a complicated year, I've faced so much that was meant to break me and it would have but you kept me strong all the way. You (are my) everything and more, I love you so so much princess [heart] ~Happy Early 9 month anniversary [heart] 2/14/17 ~
Earlier this year in April, Etta and Andie posted a YouTube video asking for help because they are having a "hard time" but even Etta's father, Jackie Chan, ignored their cry for help.
In the video, they shared: "We've been homeless for a month due to homophobic parents. We pretty much slept under a bridge and other things. I've asked all my family for help and everyone just keeps sending us to the direction of shelters where they know we will be split up."
Though there are many people out there (including her family) who don't support their relationship (and possibly, marriage), we hope that Etta would feel more comfort now that she have Andie as her life partner.
