If you are an artiste under Mediacorp, Singapore's largest media company with control over the nation's radio, TV and more, acting roles and emcee-ing opportunities are aplenty. But what happens when you leave the circle?

Let's hear from Kate Pang, an ex-Mediacorp artiste who recently shared her woes to public with an Instagram post.

In the point of view of her daughter, Kate said:

Everyone, please be informed that my mum is no longer a Mediacorp artiste!

There's someone out there who keeps spreading rumours and lies about how my mum has no time to work and take up new projects but that's so weird because she actually have a lot of time on her hands! We would like to know who's so 'kind' to help my mum reject work and clients for her.

My mum has always been hardworking and she's never done any wrong to people so we hope that whoever is preventing her from earning an income, wake up!

She just want to earn enough to educate us, her kids! To have someone like 'you' who's constantly pushing work away from her is akin to not allowing us to survive in Singapore. Don't you think that's a little too evil?

It isn't the first time such incidents happened and my mum really finds it so annoyingso we would like to seek help from all of you.

If you know of anyone who would like to work with my mum, please contact her directly via her Facebook or Instagram.

We thank you in advance for your help! We are just a normal family who wants to earn a living and provide for our family with no intentions of fighting for business with anyone. All we wish for is to have our three meals in peace.

To the big companies, please give us a way out! [praying emoji]

Kate Pang and her husband Andie Chen left Mediacorp in Oct 2017 to focus on their YouTube channel Kandie Family as a means to move on the next stage in their lives.

If you've watched this year's Star Awards, their son Aden (a crowd's favourite!) also helped to give out an award.
