The 32-year-old actress first starred in the drama The Shining Star 星闪闪 alongside Pierre Png back in 2006 and she's never looked back since. Her fan base grew, popularity skyrocketed and eventually became one of the Seven Princess of Mediacorp together with popular local stars Rui En, Jeanette Aw, Jesseca Liu, Felicia Chin, Joanne Peh and Fiona Xie.

Today, she's rocking a toned body and is also a proud ambassador of sports brand Puma...

... but life hasn't always been a bed of roses for her.

During the interview, Dawn revealed that she wasn't always confident with her body. In order to look 'good', she starved herself for two weeks only for her weight to drop by 4KG. Thankfully, she eventually gave up on the extreme act as she felt unhappy and depressed.

And now.. She's so much happier!

She also talked about how she came to love herself and the ones around her more.

"I spent most of my time with family and friends. Their unconditional love influenced and reawakened the love within me and really inspired me to pay it forward. At the same time, I also read stories, quotes and articles and they really helped to motivate me."

For Dawn, beauty is "only skin deep and it comes from the soul".

She also added:

"Being beautiful is to be kind, truthful, honest and helpful."

We can't agree with her more and we are just so happy that she's now living healthy and happy life.

We live in an era where many think it's important to look good on social media so much that they forgot the importance of being kind of themselves in reality. Besides building a 'wow' life on Instagram, why not build one for yourself in person too?

Share this post with a friend who you love and tell them that they too, deserve to live a happy life!
