Pukka.Wtf is a homegrown brand originally founded by Dee Jie Ying in 2017. After a revamp with her new partner Megan Yit Qing, it officially launched again on 11 June with a whole new collection themed 'Girl Gang'.

The local influencers have 50.5K and 38.7K followers respectively on their personal Instagram accounts; a significant figure that has grown alongside them over the years. From the label's official website, it's stated "closing 11th July, 9pm" so we assume this is a limited edition, online pop up store to showcase the girl's works. So if you're into supporting local like we do and the clothing suits your style, hurry and grab yours!

On the label's first official post on Insta, they shared that the brand defines "authenticity":

Pukka is a brand by Dee Jie Ying and Megan Yit Qing —
It is defined as "authenticity“. There is an overwhelming beauty in authenticity, even when that authenticity is paired with sorrow. To constantly radiate your true colors is to live consciously. Feeling everything all at once, and letting those feelings dance in your eyes, being unwavering in your truth, and being unapologetic for that truth, is living your life with purpose. It is your daily reminder to always stay true to yourself. It is your reality check.

We aim to make our collections as unique and special as possible. So there will be no restocks (or back orders) once a collection closes, and as we prepare for the next.

We will be posting little hints of what Pukka is all about, so stick around. The countdown starts now!

A Look At Their Collection And Their Very Relatable Product Names

p3

Some of the products are named after common Singlish sayings while some are... a little more 'taboo' to say in public.

First up, we have The "Sian" Pants. On contrary to its name, it doesn't look boring at all so you girls wear liao confirm won't sian lah!

Following that we have the "18", "21" and "08" tops... which are all named after some of the secret society groups in Singapore. So how? You girls dare to wear or not?

p4

On a lighter side, we have the "Kao Peh" and "Kao Bu" leather skirt in black and brown respectively; which immediately screams 'attitude' the moment it's worn.

If you're feeling "Bo Liao", there's one for you too in camouflage.

The "Jialat" pants looks better than it sounds. Here's proof.

The Inspiration Behind Pukka

In a more intimate post, Jie Ying shed more light on how things has been for her the past year as well as the significance behind the label's launch date.

It’s been a crazy CRAZY year struggling with the recovery from my drug addiction, my break-up, picking myself up, juggling content uploads with my insane nightlife. The ONLY thing that I had going for me was @pukka.wtf (Pukka’s first launch was in 2017 but the business was left hanging for a while because of miscommunication between my last partner and me).

PUKKA is finally inching towards its re-launch date, 11.06.18; The anniversary of my father’s death. It’s something I never really talked about before (I will soon), BUT I just wanted you guys to know, how much PUKKA means to me. It is my daily reminder to always stay true to myself. It is my own reality check. And I wouldn’t have been (and won’t be) able to pull this off without you guys and ofc, @_hiccupieeyelashiejellie @nickologyy@ningphotography @hantogram ? Thank you for keeping up & supporting me till today.

Head over to their website from now till 11 July 2018, 9pm and show Pukka some love. Support local! x
