Double dutch braids are suitable for both short and long hair, and the best part about this hairstyle is that it is absolutely summer-friendly.  This will not only make you look fashionably cool but also keep sweat away which means no dealing with sweaty and sticky hair post a workout session.

This hairstyle is also easy and quick to create, however, you may need some practise if you are a beginner. But once you ace it, there's simply no going back! Here's a step-by-step hair tutorial to help you master the look:

Step 1: Run a wide-tooth comb through your hair to remove any knots or tangles.

Step 2: Take a rat-tail comb next to create a clean centre parting that extends down to the back of your neck.

Step 3: Start working on one side, make sure you clip/tie the other side else you may end up taking hair from the wrong side and mess it all up. So, take it out of the way and focus on just one side.

Step 4: Divide the right/ left section (whichever section you prefer to work with first)  into three tiny pieces and start weaving a classic dutch braid. The right piece of hair goes under the middle and then the left goes under the middle while you keep adding more pieces from the root.

Step 5: Continue braiding all the way down to the end and secure it in place with an elastic.

Step 6: Repeat the same step on the other side and finish it off with a hairspray hold the braid in place.
